To oversee the technology upgrade of virtualised infrastructure and the management of IT systems of Intellectual Property Department including the development of artificial intelligence image comparison for trade marks project. Duties include but not limited to the following activities and responsibilities:

• To manage the outsourced contractors on the implementation and on-going maintenance services of IT systems
• To assess the technical designs and IT solutions provided by the contractors to ensure that they meet the user requirements, contract requirements and comply with government standards
• To review the project deliverables provided by the contractors
• To provide technical advice on matters related to the IT solutions and on-going maintenance of IT systems
• To liaise and coordinate between users and contractors in performing implementation and maintenance activities

• Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 6 years IT experience with 4 years' experience in the capacity of System Analyst in system implementation and maintenance/support of large-scale IT projects
• Must have at least 4 years' experience in infrastructure and system architecture design
• Must have at least 4 years' experience in server virtualisation technologies
• Must have at least 3 years' experience in IT security
• Must have at least 3 years' experience in Linux system administration
• Must have at least 3 years' experience in managing Government projects built on GCIS/EGIS
• Desirable to have working experience in the implementation and/or support of network and system management
• Desirable to have working experience in managing virtual private network
• The job requires the following mandatory skills:

  • 3 years x  EGIS, IT Security and Linux System Administration
