Duties

The appointed staff is required to work in the following areas:

  • Conduct daily IT system monitoring, health check and review log records
  • Perform daily monitoring of SB network utilization, virtualization infrastructure, etc.
  • Conduct routine server systems and client PC software patching
  • Fulfill logging and administrative reporting requirements and assist in preparing statistics and reports
  • Provide helpdesk and troubleshooting services to SB users
  • Provide technical support on the official mobile services, include CMMP ME, MDM, etc
  • Assist in system administration, network support and IT security
  • Assist in IT system implementation
  • Facilitate IT system installation and configuration by vendors and conduct system/server testing
  • Perform IT related tasks assigned by the supervisors
  • Types of technical areas include, but are not limited to, network/system settings, departmental LAN/WAN, CMMP, GOA systems, Windows system, virtualisation system, Mobile Workplace Service, Remote Access System, end-point security system and other Government-wide applications

Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language, in the HKDSE, OR
  • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007), in the HKCEE, OR
  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience as an IT Assistant
  • Required to work for departments supported by SB ITMU. Their locations include Admiralty, Wanchai, North Point, Homantin, Kwun Tong, Kowloon Bay, Chek Lap Kok and Sha Tau Kok.
  • Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, patient, pro-active, fast-learning, good team player
  • Good communication skill and customer service skill
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese
  • Need to work in various departments under SB
  • Need to carry mobile phone/pager as directed by supervisor
  • Overtime and on-call support work outside office hours when necessary
  • Work on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, or non-office hours when necessary
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 2 years x Office Automation, PC LAN Support, Windows 7/8/10, Client Service and Helpdesk Call Handling Technique
    • 1 year x Microsoft Active Directory Administration and Infrastructure
