Duties

  • To install/configure/support desktop PCs, notebook PCs, mobile/handheld devices and other peripherals such as printers and scanners
  • To install and configure common GOA applications and online meeting/video conference tools
  • To provide help desk services, handle user enquires and resolve technical problems for end users
  • To perform functional tests on installed software and demonstrate basic functions to end users
  • To assist in monitoring GOA systems, supporting diagnosis and fixing of problems
  • To update and maintain inventory records of computer items and perform physical checks
  • To perform any other computer related and administrative duties assigned by senior officers
  • To carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language, in the HKDSE, OR
  • Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007), in the HKCEE, OR
  • Diploma/Higher Diploma/Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of working experience as an IT Assistant
  • Have experience in supporting PC LAN, Windows 10 and handling IT helpdesk calls
  • Have experience in Active Directory and file server system
  • Experience in GOA applications, such as Lotus Notes Mail System, Centrally Managed Messaging Platform (CMMP), Departmental Portal and e-Leave is preferred
  • Experience in supporting IT inventory management, online meeting/video conference technology is preferred
  • Should be a team-player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should be hard-working and self-motivated with positive attitude
  • The job requires the following mandatory skills:
    • 1 year x  Office Automation, PC LAN Support and Helpdesk Call Handling Technique
    • 6 months  x Lotus Notes Mail Admin. & Technical Support, Video Conference  Technology and Work experience with/in the Government
